Yoga for Healthy Living
I became curious about Yoga when I was a child watching my mom do asana, pranayama, meditation & looking through her Yoga manuals with all of these practices I had never heard of or seen before. It was a complete holistic system or science of life that deals with the physical, mental, social, and spiritual health of an individual & society.
I can remember seeing her do a headstand, I was so inspired & drawn to Yoga but it wasn't until later on life when I took up my practice and started to embark on my studies.
I became certified 200+ hours in 2012 at the Lotus Centre St. John's NL. I have taken other trainings such Trauma, Prenatal, & Pelvic Health and I continue to expand my knowledge.
Yoga is a way of life and and it has the power to transform the lives of those that practice it, but these changes don't stop at the individual level. Instead, theses positive changes radiate outward & impact our communities. I hope to empower You to make healthy lifestyle changes within yourself and just like the ripple on the surface of a pond we can together create healthier happier communities.
